Soft Lips Healed ✨First session A perfect heal example 🥰 I can see how perfectly my client has looked after her new permanent make up because she has such an incredible retention for the first session and this lip tissue is particularly difficult to do due to the tissue texture and forcied spots + the lips swelled very quickly during treatment. (Used a different needle on the top up and didn’t get swelling) For her touch up we don’t need to do too much as she’s achieved an almost perfect ‘soft lips’ look however we need to just even the colour and a couple of patches out. Perfect Pre-draw game for permanent eyebrows is a *must* before we start the treatment! It takes me more time, but it also allows you the confidence of knowing exactly where I’m going to be placing the hair strokes and you can get an idea of how the final result will be so you can lie back and relax during your treatment. Too much saturation of colour means that eyebrows will need to be zapped off with our laser before redoing ⚡️ This is because there isn’t enough space in the skin to add any more pigment. If we try to push more pigment in, it will just come out when it heals. Look at the incredible results from the @undo_pmu_ltd machine! Once we have removed enough saturation, I will redo the eyebrows using very soft and natural modern techniques. I’m going to be completely honest with you—having the lasering done can be a bit of a process for some clients. It depends on the pigments and also the health of you and your skin, which makes a big difference to the removal process and the healed results! I have also found that it can be a slower process when re-tattooing the eyebrows. Some clients have held beautifully after removal, whereas others haven’t held as well. Of course, no one will ever leave with anything less than perfect healed eyebrows, but this process definitely requires a touch more patience. Trust me, it is so worth it! I only recommend this if I feel it’s going to get you a much better result because I want you Dolls walking around looking nothing less than fabulous! 🤩 Short term pain, long-term gain! Laser Removal & Redo with Hyper-realism 💥 This incredible lady has gone on quite the journey! Here is a quick snippet of her transformation…. However, this is immediately after we will not see the true results until her next appointment in six weeks. It’s important to take into consideration the journey we have gone on to get here: - Original work done elsewhere was far too dark, heavy and oversaturated for her complexion - When she first came to me three years ago, I did not have laser so we had to do a Saline removal and colour correction - Earlier this year now we have the laser she very kindly agreed to let me laser them off and redo them for her - Because we had to colour correct as there was no other choice at the time, when I removed with the laser it left the orange residue I had corrected the grey with - We went in gently first with soft pigments to see what the retention would be like over the laser.… I always use this method because less is more… we can ALWAYS add more later - Retention really wasn’t great and I could see that there was no point using the soft pigments, so on this I’ve gone in with the stronger pigments but keeping a very light application as the hair strokes will expand in the skin during the healing process - The stronger colours heal ashy in the skin, I would usually modify with a drop of orange to balance this, but actually as she had orange residue I didn’t need to do that as this will balance out on the healed results. Next appointment we will see how they have faded and add more definition I’m so grateful to this client for her trust and patience during this remove and redo. She has been an absolute super star and I am beyond excited to be able to give her the eyebrows she deserves that suit her beautiful face! I’m looking for a PMU artist, steady hand, makes perfect lips. 💥 Are we obsessed with this incredible lip transformation? My lovely client had her first Lip Blush 20 years ago! Look how well it has held for her. You can see in this video that we do the treatment in stages: Step 1 we pre numb for 15 minutes Step 2 I draw the outline for you Step 3 we do the outline - I’ve taken it slightly heavier for this client because I wanted her to have a little more definition on the healed results. This will blend seamlessly when healed Step 4 we blend in the entire lip blush with the outline I typically only use a pre numb for lips and sometimes a little secondary anaesthetic. I have found with my new SJ technique that my clients are so relaxed during the entire session no secondary anaesthetic is needed for you dolls! Scar Camouflage & Cover Up of Old Permanent Make Up 💥 This is a complex case as we are covering up damaged tissue from previous permanent make up that we think was done by tattoo. This Lovely client has undergone several sessions of laser at another clinic over the last couple of years to get to this final result. She’s been so patient & I want to get her the very best results but we have to look at a few things first. Whilst we have started off using hairstroke - I have no idea how this technique will hold in the skin, it may not and I have really stressed this to my client. We have two options if it doesn’t - 1) Use a stronger brand of pigments (not ideal for the long term with the very close hairstroke effect my client wants) 2) Create a Ombre shaded brow with the softer pigments 3) Failing both of those holding - Create a Ombre brow with the stronger pigments ONE of these techniques will eventually hold but it’s so important for you to understand as a client when using artists take on a correction treatment you must be patient, we aren’t working with virgin skin so it makes it even more complex to work with. We can never know even on a virgin skin how pigment will hold so when it comes to correcting, we need to be realistic about the time frame & sessions it could take. Also - important note - not all artists will take on corrective work! Let’s do a lip blush treatment… with NO swelling or peeling during the 4-day healing process 🫦 *sound on* One of the most popular treatments right now, and you can see why ☺️ This soft and natural enhancement will not only add a beautiful pop of colour to your lips, giving a lip tint effect, but it will also redefine your outline. At the end of this video, you’ll notice that on day 1, the lip colour is much brighter than when my client left the clinic—*important to note. This is because the area is still numb when we finish the treatment, meaning the blood vessels are still constricted, so the full colour isn’t showing. Transforming Scarred Brows: A Journey to Fluffy Perfection Here’s a glimpse of one of my lovely clients who’s been eagerly waiting for me to redo her eyebrows. She previously had permanent makeup done many years ago, and it might have been performed by a traditional tattoo artist instead of a PMU specialist. Remember, there’s a significant difference between a tattoo artist and a permanent makeup artist, unless the tattoo artist is trained in PMU. Before I could work on her brows, she needed to visit another clinic for removal. As seen in the close-up, once the old brow was removed, there was substantial scar tissue at the front of the eyebrows, likely due to the depth of the old tattoo. However, the laser did an incredible job at removing the old permanent makeup, allowing me to create beautiful, fluffy new eyebrows. These photos show her eyebrows immediately after the procedure. It’s uncertain how well the pigment will hold in the scar tissue, and I made this clear to my client. The true result will be visible after the second appointment has healed, so consider this an eight-week process. There’s also a possibility that it could take more than two appointments. Until we see the healed results from this first appointment, I can’t give a precise assessment, but I can provide a rough estimate. Transparency is essential to managing expectations. Look at this incredible transformation from my beautiful client ✨ This technique is a natural hairstroke enhancement, I created these eyebrows using multiple colours & needles… and new techniques learnt at the BioTek conference last weekend. As you can see, my client has naturally very white hair and barely any visible brow. It is so important that we keep her looking natural. She found the entire treatment very comfortable…. Healed, soft lip blush ⚡️ Look how much better the tone of the lips is, the colour is so much more even. I love seeing healed results, especially when it comes to lip blush. When they are first done they can be quite bold and bright and seem a little scary, but as you can see when they heal they are very soft and natural. Trusting the process is key with this treatment. Spend a Saturday with me as a Permanent Make Up Artist. ✨ Everyday can bring something new so I try to keep my morning routine as structured as possible to keep myself organised when I am seeing clients. Starting with a biiiig breakfast to power through as I have a long day ahead with no time to stop for lunch. Even though it’s a long day, there is only space for two clients as one of them will be a 6 hour sitting. First on the list, we have a swift laser session to remove an old pigment which was potentially done with a body ink tattoo. This client had had several sessions of laser in the past and we did the final zap today to make room for her new brows in 6 weeks time. She also brought me these beautiful flowers, how kind and thoughtful! 🐣💕 These gestures are so kind and thoughtful and really make my day! Then it was time to move on to the highlight of the day — a full ‘Wake Up With Make Up’ transformation. These sessions demand undivided attention for that impeccable finish. Bringing a sweet snack and a drink with you to your appointment like this is a must so you can fuel up mid way through. We start with the lips, then move onto eyeliner before finishing up with the brows. Finally, it’s time to reset the clinic by cleaning, organising, and preparing to close the weekend chapter. It’s great that there are now lasers where we can remove old and unwanted eyebrow pigment. First a patch test is done with two different wavelengths 1064 and 532. We let it heal and assess which side has had a better response. In this case, the yellow response is better than the orange with the patch tests. Welcome… the fully shaded brow 😍 This is my current favourite technique. A modern combination of the hair stroke and shading to keep the brows looking super natural. Lip Blushing ✨ Crafting a beautiful lip takes time and patience. This is because the tissue you on your lips are more delicate that the other areas we work on for permanent make up. A treatment will take about 2-2.5 hours. During this time, we also apply strong anaesthetic and pre draw the shape of the lips as well as choosing the colour best suited to your lip and skin tone. This lovely client wanted to have more definition in the boarder of her lips and well as a very natural colour to give the illusion of a fuller of shape. This photo was taken immediately after her treatment, the colour always looks a lot more vibrant and intense for the first 3 to 5 days. As these heal they will become very soft and natural pinky tone - exactly what my client wanted. This treatment has grown hugely in popularity over the last couple of years, and it’s predicted to grow even more and that’s because the techniques are so much better now. Out with the old, in with the new. ✨ Laser tattoo removal is key for those who have had the implantation of organic pigments into the skin. Notice the old colour has faded to ashy and grey but the pigment is still very much in the skin so laser was necessary because there was too much saturation for a touch-up, leaving insufficient space in the skin for new pigment. The before photo showcases eyebrows with a patch test, and the after photo is three days post-treatment. The true transformation will unfold over the next six weeks. Alopecia is a condition that can lead to varying degrees of hair loss and affects many of us in different ways. Whether it’s patchy areas, frontal loss, or total hair loss on the head and face, the emotional toll can be significant. In my journey as a permanent make up artist, I’ve been privileged to support many individuals diagnosed with alopecia. And for eyeliner and lips, we always begin with a pre-numbing step. 💖 A little (*big) tip: The more you prep yourself, the more comfortable your treatment will be.
