Beauty is my life. Always has been. Best and worst trait. I like things done properly, not rushed. (Clients — hands up if you can vouch for that!) I’m social and extroverted, but also naturally a bit quiet and shy. If you know me well, you’re probably laughing at that… but it’s true. I keep my circle small, have a very strong family unit, say what I think (sometimes too honestly), but I always aim to speak with kindness and keep it real. ✨ Lip Neutralisation: The Art of Balance ✨ Lip neutralisation is one of my favourite treatments and my clients are always thrilled with the healed results. But did you know this is one of the trickiest and most complex PMU techniques? In this photo you can see the healed photo for one session with my lovely client. For her second session, last week, I focused on blending the areas that had still held a deeper colour. In Lip Neutralisation we focus on evening out natural pigmentation and lightening darker tones in the lips to create a soft, blended result that balances the overall colour. Some clients opt for reverse neutralisation, where instead of lightening the lips, we deepen the lighter areas to match the darker tones. It all comes down to your desired end result. 🖌️ Why does it take patience? Neutralisation requires multiple sessions, sometimes spaced up to 3 months apart, to ensure the safest, most effective outcome without causing deepened pigmentation. Getting my 2025 diary sorted ✔️ At the start of every year, I make and pin my plans to my kitchen wall – my quick visual of where I’m going and what I’m doing. It keeps me motivated and on track. Call me old school, but there’s just something about writing it down that helps it stick! 😅 I love tech, but I work better with handwritten lists, a diary, and wall planner. The start of the year always feels like a fresh start – a time to reset and regain clarity on my goals. By the end of the year, I find my energy for new ideas is running low on steam. Christmas is the only time I feel almost guilt-free about stepping back, reassured knowing my clients are doing the same. (Wow - what a privileged problem to have hey! I’m so grateful to serve such wonderful clients and meet lots of wonderful people through the opportunities my business provides 🙏) This first half of the year after the festive break is my golden time – fresh brain energy and all my big ideas bursting to life! I love getting everything in motion now, especially for when those long summer evenings and bright mornings roll around, I’ll want to be outside walking or swimming. For now, these dark, quiet mornings and chilly days are my perfect time for plotting, planning & organising. Whoever has said I am a workaholic is absolutely…. 100% correct. When it’s first done, the colour looks very vibrant because the pigment is sitting on top of the skin and hasn’t healed yet. Think of it like wearing tights—the healed result will be softer and more natural because the pigment settles into the skin, not on top of it. 💋 For lip blush, it takes at least six weeks to see the true colour of your healed lips. Permanent makeup is a process that gently builds colour over two sessions for your initial appointment. My client achieved incredible healed results, and here’s how she did it: Firstly, as soon as she walked through the door, I could tell she was someone who took care of herself. Her skin was spectacular, and her eyes were bright. The condition of your health greatly affects how permanent make up holds in the skin. Remember, results can vary, but the better you take care of yourself, the better your results will be. Secondly, she followed the after-care instructions to a T, and it showed. It’s easy to see how well permanent make-up has been looked after by how it heals. If you want your permanent make-up to look as good as possible for as long as possible, here are two crucial recommendations: 1. Ensure you’re on a fantastic professional skincare routine and your skin is in good health before your treatment. If you’re unsure of the skincare you should be using or if your skin is in good condition, please always contact me first, and I can give you recommendations. If you come in for treatment and I recommend you a skin product, please use it in the lead up to your top-up appointment. 2. Too much saturation of colour means that eyebrows will need to be zapped off with our laser before redoing ⚡️ This is because there isn’t enough space in the skin to add any more pigment. If we try to push more pigment in, it will just come out when it heals. Look at the incredible results from the @undo_pmu_ltd machine! Once we have removed enough saturation, I will redo the eyebrows using very soft and natural modern techniques. I’m going to be completely honest with you—having the lasering done can be a bit of a process for some clients. It depends on the pigments and also the health of you and your skin, which makes a big difference to the removal process and the healed results! I have also found that it can be a slower process when re-tattooing the eyebrows. Some clients have held beautifully after removal, whereas others haven’t held as well. Of course, no one will ever leave with anything less than perfect healed eyebrows, but this process definitely requires a touch more patience. Trust me, it is so worth it! I only recommend this if I feel it’s going to get you a much better result because I want you Dolls walking around looking nothing less than fabulous! 🤩 Short term pain, long-term gain! Laser Removal & Redo with Hyper-realism 💥 This incredible lady has gone on quite the journey! Here is a quick snippet of her transformation…. However, this is immediately after we will not see the true results until her next appointment in six weeks. It’s important to take into consideration the journey we have gone on to get here: - Original work done elsewhere was far too dark, heavy and oversaturated for her complexion - When she first came to me three years ago, I did not have laser so we had to do a Saline removal and colour correction - Earlier this year now we have the laser she very kindly agreed to let me laser them off and redo them for her - Because we had to colour correct as there was no other choice at the time, when I removed with the laser it left the orange residue I had corrected the grey with - We went in gently first with soft pigments to see what the retention would be like over the laser.… I always use this method because less is more… we can ALWAYS add more later - Retention really wasn’t great and I could see that there was no point using the soft pigments, so on this I’ve gone in with the stronger pigments but keeping a very light application as the hair strokes will expand in the skin during the healing process - The stronger colours heal ashy in the skin, I would usually modify with a drop of orange to balance this, but actually as she had orange residue I didn’t need to do that as this will balance out on the healed results. Next appointment we will see how they have faded and add more definition I’m so grateful to this client for her trust and patience during this remove and redo. She has been an absolute super star and I am beyond excited to be able to give her the eyebrows she deserves that suit her beautiful face! It might seem daunting to see the pre-draw for your eyebrows as we make it slightly bigger than what the final results will be but here’s why we do it - By extending the hair strokes longer initially, we can create a softer beginning and end for each stroke. The most important pre treatment check after finalising the shape is checking the chosen colour on your skin to ensure that you’re happy and it compliments your tone before we start the lip blushing treatment.
