Healed, soft lip blush ⚡️ Look how much better the tone of the lips is, the colour is so much more even. I love seeing healed results, especially when it comes to lip blush. When they are first done they can be quite bold and bright and seem a little scary, but as you can see when they heal they are very soft and natural. Trusting the process is key with this treatment. There are different looks we can do with Lips. If your preference is a more of a lipstick look or a bolder colour that is an option as well. I would always recommend keeping lips looking as soft and natural. Spend a Saturday with me as a Permanent Make Up Artist. ✨ Everyday can bring something new so I try to keep my morning routine as structured as possible to keep myself organised when I am seeing clients. Starting with a biiiig breakfast to power through as I have a long day ahead with no time to stop for lunch. Even though it’s a long day, there is only space for two clients as one of them will be a 6 hour sitting. First on the list, we have a swift laser session to remove an old pigment which was potentially done with a body ink tattoo. This client had had several sessions of laser in the past and we did the final zap today to make room for her new brows in 6 weeks time. She also brought me these beautiful flowers, how kind and thoughtful! 🐣💕 These gestures are so kind and thoughtful and really make my day! Then it was time to move on to the highlight of the day — a full ‘Wake Up With Make Up’ transformation. These sessions demand undivided attention for that impeccable finish. Bringing a sweet snack and a drink with you to your appointment like this is a must so you can fuel up mid way through. We start with the lips, then move onto eyeliner before finishing up with the brows. Finally, it’s time to reset the clinic by cleaning, organising, and preparing to close the weekend chapter. It’s great that there are now lasers where we can remove old and unwanted eyebrow pigment. First a patch test is done with two different wavelengths 1064 and 532. We let it heal and assess which side has had a better response. In this case, the yellow response is better than the orange with the patch tests. Welcome… the fully shaded brow 😍 This is my current favourite technique. A modern combination of the hair stroke and shading to keep the brows looking super natural. This amazing lady was a delight to treat. Our aim was low maintenance brows - we wanted to keep as much of her natural brow as possible and work the permanent make up into her brows so that she wouldn’t have to worry about keeping them waxed or shaped. Lip Blushing ✨ Crafting a beautiful lip takes time and patience. This is because the tissue you on your lips are more delicate that the other areas we work on for permanent make up. A treatment will take about 2-2.5 hours. During this time, we also apply strong anaesthetic and pre draw the shape of the lips as well as choosing the colour best suited to your lip and skin tone. This lovely client wanted to have more definition in the boarder of her lips and well as a very natural colour to give the illusion of a fuller of shape. This photo was taken immediately after her treatment, the colour always looks a lot more vibrant and intense for the first 3 to 5 days. As these heal they will become very soft and natural pinky tone - exactly what my client wanted. This treatment has grown hugely in popularity over the last couple of years, and it’s predicted to grow even more and that’s because the techniques are so much better now. Out with the old, in with the new. ✨ Laser tattoo removal is key for those who have had the implantation of organic pigments into the skin. Notice the old colour has faded to ashy and grey but the pigment is still very much in the skin so laser was necessary because there was too much saturation for a touch-up, leaving insufficient space in the skin for new pigment. The before photo showcases eyebrows with a patch test, and the after photo is three days post-treatment. The true transformation will unfold over the next six weeks. Alopecia is a condition that can lead to varying degrees of hair loss and affects many of us in different ways. ‘When Will I Need a Top-Up?’ This is a question I am often asked, and the answer can vary. It largely depends on how well you care for your eyebrows during the healing period and how your skin retains pigment. A key piece of advice: Less is More! If you’re unsure, book for a review first. In the past, eyebrows would fade to an orange hue, necessitating top-ups every 6 to 12 months. However, thanks to the superior quality and formulation of my latest pigments, they last much longer in the skin and we don’t get any more orange hue eyebrows everrrrr!! 🪄 Now, top-ups are mainly for a colour boost to give the eyebrows their vibrancy back. Take this lovely client, for example. Her brows have retained their shape fantastically, but over time, the colour has faded to an ashy tone, and the hair strokes are less defined. Since her last session 3.5 years ago, my technique has evolved significantly. It was time not just to rejuvenate the colour for more vibrancy but also to upgrade her look with an even fluffier, more natural hairstroke style. Let’s talk about #permanenteyeliner dolls ✨ This is one of the most underrated treatment areas for making your eyes really stand out. You know that feeling when you don’t remove your eye make up fully then you wake up the next morning with a soft kohl colour on the eyes and you love how your eyes pop - that is exactly how permanent eyeliner makes you feel, every morning! My personal preference of technique is a soft and smoky look like you can see in this photo. It adds a undetectable (to the untrained eye) pop of colour. If you prefer, you can go all out with crazy and fabulous show stopping looks… colours, flicks, eyeshadow techniques that all look fantastic! The biggest fear that my clients have with this treatment is that it’s gonna be very uncomfortable as it’s around the eye. However this is the most comfortable area of permanent make up to do because 1) we use a very strong numbing cream and 2) you don’t have the same nerve sensitivities in the eye line as you do around the eyebrow and lips, so although it’s a weird area to have done, it actually isn’t painful. We hold the eye in a very special stretch that makes it very comfortable for you to have done and for us to tattoo. Let’s talk about PMU eyeliner✨ Permanent eyeliner can be a daunting treatment to think about having done for many as it’s so close to the eye. Rest assured, knowing that we use a very gentle movement and a bit slow speed on the machine. This is so we causes little trauma to the eye as possible and it’s comfortable for you. We also use a fantastic anaesthetic that numbs the area. Two appointments are required 4 to 6 weeks apart and when its first done it looks like a liquid eyeliner, but when it heals it’s like a soft kole pencil effect. There are many different ways to do eyeliner, but my personal preference is natural. We also did a Vivace micro needling and radio frequency treatment after the lip tattooing (obviously not over or anywhere near the Lips) hence why the skin is pink.
